What we do

Refrigeration

We use Thermo King Precedent TRUs to pursue our commitment to clean air, fuel efficiency and precise temperature control. Our TRUs meet the strict Tier 4 emissions standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and California Air Resources Board (CARB). Further, they comply with CARB’s Ultra-Low-Emission TRU In-Use performance standards (ULETRU). To meet the exacting requirements of our customers, we use TracKing™ telematics to remotely monitor inside trailer temperature, TRU engine efficiency and operation and open door conditions on a real time basis – ensuring the cargo arrives in perfect condition.

Logistics

Our long history in fresh produce transportation sets us apart in the industry. We combine the latest in logistics and telematics technologies with our highly integrated field knowledge of transit times, harvest seasons and perishability rates to keep our trailers loaded and the wheels turning. We use advanced planning techniques and technologies to properly locate our trucks to minimize empty miles and maximize on time deliveries.

Tractors

We carefully specify our engines, gear ratios and drivetrains for the loads we carry and the terrain we cover to achieve fuel efficiency and exceed air quality standards. We make sure our drivers are comfortable as well. Our truck cabins include amenities such as refrigerators, adjustable TV brackets, power inverters, double bunks, bunk heaters, folding tables, AM/FM and CD changers and a Sirius radio option. Our tractors come equipped with Mobile Eye, Omnitracs telematics and automatic transmissions to create a safe environment and clear communications. We continually upgrade our tractors to keep us on the leading edge of fuel and safety technologies – the average age of our tractor fleet is less than 2.5 years.

Trailers

We use Utility 3000R© refrigerated trailers – known as the gold standard in the industry. With driver and the public’s safety top of mind, our trailers are equipped with air ride suspension, automatic tire inflation systems and ABS brakes, remote location monitoring systems, step and hand rails to assist driver ingress and egress, and roll up door safety locks.
